How to Create a Memorable First Impression” with Alexis was our inaugural women’s leadership event and a brilliant way to bring our agency together and kick off the importance of finding the balance between “being” and “doing”. Communication and presentation is key to our business, so finding a way to engage our teams and doing so in a fun environment, was an incredible first step to inspiring our women to break glass ceilings.

A brilliant way to bring our agency together.

As the newly elected Board President of a large reform congregation in LA, I came to Alexis looking to become a more dynamic speaker. I knew I would be presenting in meetings, to congregants and at events, and I had been given feedback that it was an area in which I could be stronger. We had a fantastic time working together - creating content that was authentic and not in any way stereotypical, slighted or cliche’d. We also worked on the physical aspects of the presentation and on my disposition running the room. Did it have an impact? The proof was in the pudding. Following my address at one of the biggest events of the year I felt great! - and that was before half a dozen people came up to me to tell me it was the best President’s message they had ever heard. And not just on that one occasion! Alexis’ support exceeded and surpassed my expectations and now I can say I actually find joy in speaking - and I’m good at it!

Alexis did some kind of voodoo – I swear.

Public speaking scares the crap out of me. As part of my job I have to moderate talk-back discussions after plays and prior to going on stage, my cheeks start burning up and I feel slightly vomitous. Alexis did some kind of voodoo – I swear. Along with pushing me to connect with the audience, which I did, she pushed me to make the piece far more personal than I had originally intended.

Without Alexis, I would have never gotten my signature talk completed. She kept my feet to the fire while being supportive. She is creative and shared great insights to what I kept missing…much like the forest for the trees. The result: a signature talk I’m proud to present and that reflects my passions. Thanks, Alexis, I look forward to more!

I am a practicing attorney, well-versed in writing legal documents and speaking one-on-one with clients. I decided to branch out and write a very personal story about my life that I intended to present in a public performance. Alexis encouraged me to believe in my artistic and performative capabilities and helped me increase my mental fortitude while presenting in front of a group of people. She also gave me the technical tools I needed to remain grounded and honest, project my voice, hold the audience’s focus, and ultimately be in service of my story. The process of getting the story performance-ready was fantastic – emotionally challenging, physically demanding and ultimately cathartic. With her partnership, I accomplished something I will be proud of for the rest of my life.

I hoped that it would be an experience that would show me how to break through the anxiety that arises when I get on stage. I not only learned how to combat the anxiety, but also why it happens. All of that is very valuable information and made me realize that it’s not an uncommon struggle. The program exceeded my expectations.

The program exceeded my expectations.

From start to finish, Alexis was fantastic. I love the way she led this whole process. It’s clear that everyone felt honored; they know that you’ve respected their voices and have found room for them in every way possible.

Alexis is an incredible coach and mentor. She gave me the encouragement and support I needed to start my own business, and she continues to provide guidance as I grow it. Working with Alexis has literally transformed how I grow my client base; she supported me in developing a new pricing structure and approach. She also instilled the confidence in me to go after new challenges and not be afraid to put myself out there. I will be forever grateful for Alexis’s wise counsel, intuitive coaching, and sincere caring for me to succeed.
